WrestleMania is set to feature some big names this year as Brock Lesnar will be challenging Goldberg for the Universal Title and Roman Reigns is set to take on The Undertaker.
Goldberg has 2 victories over Brock Lesnar, but it’s looking like Brock has a good chance of walking out of WrestleMania 33 with the title. WWE Hall of Famee Jim Ross noted in his latest blog that he wouldn’t mind seeing Brock Lesnar hold to the title for a full year before defending it against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.
“What would you think about Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Title against Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania in NOLA in 2018? That seems to be the direction. I like it as it would give Lesnar a one year run as champ which also would necessitate Lesnar working a few more dates on his last year of his current contract. Seems logical to me. Lesnar could defend the title monthly, if required, quite easily on an enhanced albeit manageable schedule.”
Of course in order to get to WrestleMania 34 Roman Reigns will have to get through The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. Roman said this week on Raw that he plans to retire The Undertaker at the big event and it sounded a lot like something that would come from the mouth of a heel.
Ross is calling for a Roman Reigns heel turn at WrestleMania 33 with Roman possibly cheating to win the match.
“Expect a ton of conjecture regarding the conclusion/finish of the Reigns vs Taker bout at WM Orlando. I still see a heel turn and Reigns wins via ‘cheating’ to at least to gain an unfair advantage OR Taker wins and Roman then destroys The Deadman afterwards and leaves Taker selling. Bottom line is that Reigns has to come out of Wrestlemania with momentum as this match is more about Roman evolving than anything else.”
Do you think Roman Reigns will defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania, and if he does do you think he’ll cheat to do it? Sound off in the comments below.
