Jim Ross made his return to WWE at WrestleMania 33, and he later confirmed that he has signed a new contract with the company. It seems that WWE will be using the Hall of Famer for special events over the next few years, and he’s just announced his latest assignment.
Over the weekend WWE taped some matches during the UK live events, and it was recently announced that they will be airing on the WWE Network later this month. Jim Ross revealed in his latest blog that he and Nigel McGuinness will be the ones calling the action.
“I’m excited to announce that I will join the talented Nigel McGuinness to broadcast the recently taped, WWE matches from Norwich, England and these bouts will air on the WWE Network soon. Happy for this opportunity to call bouts involving new wrestlers, for me, and a new broadcast partner which freshens up all facets of the process. Stay tuned as to when these specials will be broadcast on the WWE Network which is still the best value in the land for only $9.99 per month.”
Ross is of course still calling the action for NJPW on AXS TV, and he also teased that the promotion will be making an announcement on May 18.
“AXSTV has finalized their broadcast plans with NJPW for the July 1-2 weekend in Long Beach, California and the official announcement will be made on May 18. You’re going to like what you hear.”
