Kenny Omega is one of the most popular wrestlers in the world right now, and he recently became the first ever IWGP United States Champion. Omega has certainly made a name for himself in the professional wrestling business, and the fact of the matter is that as a wrestler becomes more and more popular they will inevitably become a target for their haters.

One man who appears to have no love for Kenny Omega is none other than Jim Cornette. He recently ripped Kenny Omega apart on Twitter after a fan asked him why he hates Kenny so much. The fan asked if it’s because Kenny Omega wrestled a blow-up doll, and he noted that Omega doesn’t do stuff like that anymore. Jim responded with the following: “I heard Dahmer quit eating people before he got caught. F**k @KennyOmegamanX . If he wants to be respected as a wrestler, too f**kin late.”
Jim Cornette saying that Omega will never be respected as a wrestler is pretty harsh, but he didn’t stop there.
Fans on Twitter backed Omega up by talking about how he still has time to develop, and one fan used Steve Austin’s transition from the Ringmaster to Stone Cold as an example. Cornette just used the example as fuel for the fire.
“Steve Austin never blatantly s**t on the sport. He was given a poor gimmick but persevered. Omega delights in being a phony videogame f**k”
Another fan asked why Cornette tags Omega in his hate-tweets, and Cornette said that he wants to make sure Kenny understands how he feels.
“Because I want this dips**t to know exactly what I say about him so there’s no misunderstanding. He should not be allowed in our business.”
The conversation with Jim’s followers then switched over to that time Kenny Omega wrestled a young girl, and the Omega fans praised Kenny for wrestling an 8 year old and making sure she didn’t get hurt.
Their comments didn’t do anything to sell Cornette on the match, and that’s when Kenny Omega himself chimed in.
All things considered, that’s a pretty humble response from Omega, but Cornette remained less than humble when he replied.
Of course Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks and Ricochet had to chime in as well.
