Jey Uso is one of the most decorated tag team stars in WWE, and he has has been chasing singles championship gold for some time now. Last week on Monday Night Raw, Jey Uso challenged Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship in the main event, and he shocked the world when he managed to defeat Breakker to win the belt for the first time in his career.
This week Jey Uso kicked off Monday Night Raw as he made his entrance through the crowd. When Jey stood in the corner to celebrate with his belt celebratory pyro went off behind him.
Jey Uso debuted a new version of the Intercontinental Title belt on Raw as he held a slightly altered version which now includes blue in the middle and on the globes featured on the sides of the main plate. Previously the belt was just made up of black and gold.
Main Event Jey Uso grabbed the mic as the fans chanted “you deserve it!” He said everybody made it hard for him to win a singles title. Jey said Roman made it hard for him, and for years he was only thought of as a twin. Uso said his mother is his biggest fan, so after he won the belt he called her and said “mama we did it.”
Bron Breakker’s music hit as the former champion made his way to the ring. Breakker said he’s out here because he respects the championship. He said after what they went through last week he now respects Jey Uso too. Bron told Jey that last week he was the better man. He told Jey that he’s not going to spear or attack him, but he felt that he should be the first one to congratulate Jey. He extended his hand and Jey accepted the handshake.
As Bron Breakker was exiting the ring Jey called him back in and said “there’s some dawgs in Indiana UCE!” The fans then barked as Breakker made his exit while Jey stood in the ring.
