Last week on Monday Night Raw, Jey Uso defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther in the main event. Unfortunately for Jey it was The Ring General who picked up the win and walked out with the gold.

Following Jey Uso’s loss to Gunther on Raw last week Adam Pearce announced that the former champion would be entering the King of the Ring tournament. Jey Uso competed in the main event on Raw once again this week as he faced off against Rusev, Sheamus and Bronson Reed in a first round King of the Ring match.

The match was action packed and Bronson Reed took things to the next level when he hit a Tsunami on Sheamus. Jey Uso broke up the pi then Jey connected with a spear on Bronson Reed to take him down. The former champion went to top rope for an Uso Splash, but Bron Breakker appeared out of nowhere and knocked him off.

Sami Zayn ran out to help and immediately went after Bron Breakker. Unfortunately Breakker got the better of Sami, so Penta made the save as he dove over the top rope to take out Breakker.

Bronson Reed took down Jey Uso inside the ring then went to the top rope. LA Knight decided to get involved in the match as he pushed Bronson Reed off the top and left through the crowd. Jey Uso capitalized when he connected with a spear on Reed and hit the Uso Splash twice before pinning Bronson Reed to win the match.

Seth Rollins’ music hit as Rollins looked furious while walking to the ring. The Visionary got into the ring and prepared to attack Jey Uso, but Cody Rhodes ran out to stop him. Cody and Seth stared one another down as things got tense in the ring. Eventually Rollins backed away and got out of the ring. He stood with Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker as Cody and Jey Uso looked on from the ring.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso will now face off against one another in the King of the Ring semifinals next week on Raw.
