Jerry Lawler appeared on Monday Night Raw this week, and the WWE Hall of Famer got a lot of people talking during the Akira Tozawa vs. Austin Theory match.
At one point Tozawa hit Theory with a senton and Lawler made a comment saying, “That looked like the Ramen Noodle Moonsault.”
The comment received a lot of negative attention on social media, and at one point Jerry Lawler was trending.
At this point Lawler has not addressed the controversy, but a clip of the comment can be heard below.
Lawler’s involvement with Raw was already dubbed as controversial due to the 70 year old Lawler being at a higher risk of getting coronavirus because of his age. WWE recently confirmed that an on-screen talent tested positive for COVID-19.
There’s currently no word on if he’ll be working next week’s show.
