Jerry Lawler is a WWE Hall of Famer, and he’s still an active wrestler as well. Lawler recently stepped in the ring with Joey Ryan, and he shot a fireball at Joey Ryan’s crotch, but Lawler has also been dealing with some health issues that he opened up about on his podcast Dinner With The King.
During the most recent episode of his podcast, it was confirmed that Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke on March 21st while he was with his fiancé and he was unable to speak for three days. Lawler’s face was also said to be sagging on one side, but apparently he woke up a few days later feeling 100% better.
The WWE Hall of Famer noted that the doctors were shocked he was able to make such a quick recovery, and that he only told a few people from WWE including Vince McMahon, Triple H and Kevin Dunn.
This week’s episode of SmackDown Live was the SmackDown after Mania, so naturally there was a lot of hype leading up to the episode as fans waited to see what the blue brand had in store for them on Tuesday night.
According to ShowBuzzDaily, this week’s show drew 2.952 million viewers which is up from the 2.467 million viewers who tuned into last week’s episode.
Viewership was also up from last year’s post-WrestleMania episode which drew 2.885 million viewers.
