Last week WWE officially confirmed that Dean Ambrose will not be signing a new contract when his current deal expires in April, and the wrestling world was shocked.
At this point no one knows for sure what Dean’s next move is, and some fans believe that Ambrose’s WWE departure is a work.
However, Jerry Lawler recently discussed the big news surrounding Dean Ambrose on the Wrestling Hour podcast, and the WWE Hall of Famer said that he’s under the impression Dean is leaving the company.
“I think it’s been understood for a while that Dean hasn’t been completely happy with his role there. So, I tend to think this is real. He’s the kinda guy who’s looking to do something different. I know that AEW is out there and might make him a big offer. But right now, Dean’s mindset is that he wants out and away from wrestling for a while.”
The general consensus seems to be that Dean Ambrose is legitimately unhappy with how he’s been used in WWE, and will be parting ways with the company in April, but as we’ve seen in the past you can never say never in the world of professional wrestling.
