Monday Night Raw is WWE’s flagship show, and next month Raw will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. WWE has big plans for the 25th anniversary edition of Raw and the show will be simulcast from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Manhattan Center.
For many years Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler called the action on Monday nights, but it’s been a while since fans have seen the dream team on Raw. But Jerry Lawler recently revealed on his podcast Dinner With The King that he’s fairly certain they’ll be reuniting for the big show.
“It’s almost 99.9% certain that J.R. and I will be reunited for the 25th Anniversary Raw show on January 22 to do commentary. Probably the show will be broadcast from two different locations – the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center. That would make sense to me [J.R. and King at the Manhattan Center].”
This is awesome news and seeing Lawler and Ross together again will no doubt be special for wrestling fans who watched the duo together during their heyday.
Other big names confirmed for the show include The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and more.
One way or another it sounds like the 25th anniversary episode of Raw will be a show that you won’t want to miss.
