Celebrity wrestlers have become more and more common over the last few years and Jelly Roll kicked off a heated feud with Logan Paul a few weeks ago. As the feud escalated it was announced that Jelly Roll would team with Randy Orton to take on Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre in his debut match at SummerSlam.
Logan Paul entered first and a number of fans on the floor held up signs that said “Logan Paul is an outsider” as he stepped into the ring. Drew McIntyre made his entrance shortly after. As Jelly Roll walked out to the stage he cut a promo as he said he wants to take a moment to pledge allegiance to the Apex Predator. He then briefly sang the chorus to Randy Orton’s theme song as the song hit and Randy met him at the top of the stage.
Before the referee called for the bell to start the match Logan Paul jumped Jelly Roll and sucker punched him. Randy Orton tried to kick the match off, but Jelly Roll tagged in immediately and faced off with Logan Paul. Jelly Roll whipped Logan into the ropes and took him down with a shoulder tackle. Paul tried to bodyslam Jelly Roll, but he couldn’t lift him up, so Jelly Roll ended up slamming Logan then he connected with an elbow on Logan Paul who tagged in Drew McIntyre.
Jelly Roll looked nervous as Drew McIntyre entered the ring. Randy Orton called for the tag, but Jelly insisted that he stay in the match as he told Orton “I got this.” He went face to face with Drew McIntyre who grabbed his neck. Jelly slapped Drew then connected with a few jabs before McIntyre countered with a Glasgow Kiss.
McIntyre dominated Jelly Roll then tagged Logan Paul in and they hit a double team suplex on their opponent. They isolated Jelly Roll in the corner as Randy Orton looked on. The fans chanted “we want Randy” and Drew shut the chants down as he knocked Randy off the mat.
Jelly Roll threw McIntyre over the top rope then collapsed. Orton got the hot tag and took out McIntyre and Logan Paul. The Viper hit the middle rope DDT then called for the RKO, but Logan Paul pulled McIntyre out of the ring. McIntyre tried to attack Orton and Orton dropped him onto the announce table then did the same to Logan. Drew connected with a Claymore on Orton as Jelly Roll checked on his partner.
Logan Paul connected with a punch on Jelly Roll then cleared off the announce table. McIntyre put Jelly Roll on the announce table and Logan Paul climbed to the top rope. Logan Paul jumped off the top and put Jelly Roll through the announce table with a frog splash. Medical officials checked on Jelly Roll while Logan Paul struggled to get to his feet.
Drew McIntyre threw Randy Orton into the ring then posed in the corner. Logan and Drew double teamed Orton as the medical officials tried to help Jelly to his feet. Jelly Roll collapsed as he was being helped up the ramp. Drew went to the top rope and Orton knocked him down then connected with a superplex.
Jelly Roll got to his feet again then looked back at the ring. He struggled as he walked up the stairs, got on the apron and called for the tag. Orton tagged Jelly Roll in and he hit two clotheslines on Logan Paul followed by a chokeslam. McIntyre tried to take down Jelly Roll, but he countered with a Black Hole Slam.
McIntyre got Jelly Roll with the Claymore then Orton took McIntyre out with the RKO. Logan Paul then finished Jelly Roll off with a frog splash to win the match.
