It’s safe to say that 2017 has been interesting for Global Force Wrestling. After Anthem took over, Jeff Jarrett was brought back into the fold, and Jarrett has been steering the ship for GFW ever since. However, it looks like Anthem will have to put someone else in charge as John Pollock of The Fight Network announced earlier today that Jeff is taking an indefinite leave of absence.
GFW then followed up by issuing the a statement saying that Jeff Jarrett is stepping away to focus on personal matters.
“Effective immediately, Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as Chief Creative Officer to focus on personal matters. Jeff will be available on a consultative basis as needed.”
PWInsider reports that the decision regarding Jeff taking time a leave of absence was made today just a few hours before the statement was issued, and it’s not yet known who will be replacing him.
Creative plans for Jeff Jarrett called for him to face Alberto El Patron at Bound For Glory in November, but that plan is now out the window.
It’s worth noting that Tuesday morning Jeff posted a positive tweet about GFW prior to his leave of absence.
