Jeff Hardy Talks Lying To People About The Hardys’ WWE Return

Matt and Jeff Hardy parted ways with Impact Wrestling a few months ago, and as soon as it was revealed that they were no longer with the company, fans immediately started talking about a possible return to WWE. The brothers later shocked the world when they showed up in Ring of Honor a few days later and won the ROH Tag Team Titles.

After The Hardys won the ROH Tag Team Titles, everyone was confused as to what their next move was. Many fans were hoping to see them return to WWE, but the brothers said during interviews that they would be staying with Ring of Honor through the summer.

That claim turned out to be false, and The Hardys returned at WrestleMania 33. During a recent episode of Talk Is Jericho, Jeff Hardy talked about what it was like to keep their return a secret, and he says that it was hard for him.

“We knew that after our contracts expired with that other world, basically, we knew, we’d been through all the deal we had to go through,” Hardy said via Wrestling Inc. “We just had to keep it a secret and that was so hard. Like, that day of WrestleMania, I was lying like crazy! ‘Will we see you tonight?’ ‘No, I’m on the first flight out of here.'” Hardy added, “even in interviews on the Friday and Saturday before with these people, I even said, ‘yeah, we’ll be with Ring Of Honor through the summer.'”

Now that Matt and Jeff Hardy are back with WWE, the possibilities are endless.

The brothers recently dropped the Raw Tag Team Titles to Cesaro and Sheamus at Extreme Rules, and it’s rumored that they could be splitting up sooner rather than later.

Who do you want to see Matt and Jeff feud with when they split up? Sound off in the comments below.
