Jeff Hardy recently spoke to Ring Rust Radio about his unfortunate injury, re-signing with TNA and more. During the interview Jeff talked a lot about Matt Hardy’s current heel character and he put over his recent work and said he’s looking forward to another brother vs brother feud. You can check out the full interview here along with a clip above and some highlights below.
“He has just such a great mind. Behind the scenes, he has such a great mind for the business and pro wrestling is his life. He really does live and breathe it. It’s what he is all about. You can really tell in social media with the videos of him with his wife and son and the photos and videos they put up are just hilarious. He is such a great heel, and he is better than he’s ever been and I’m looking forward to another Jeff Hardy versus Matt Hardy match, even though it’s a little bit of a different scenario this time.”
Jeff also discussed his alter-ego Willow, and he said it was a dream come true when TNA let him use the character. He then hinted that Willow could be coming back in the future.
“Not really but it was a dream come true when they gave me the chance to be Willow because that’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Back in the Omega days, Willow was my main character because back then Jeff Hardy and Willow were completely different. They didn’t do the same moves but it is a little harder now that I’m older. Bringing it to TNA and bringing it to life was just so cool to see and I don’t think you’ve seen the last of Willow for sure. He could very easily pop up on the live show this week. I think the time is perfect for it and we can give the people both Jeff Hardy and Willow.”
In regards to who he wants to possibly being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame someday, Jeff said that he would like it if Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder could induct him.
“I’m not really a popular fan of the whole Hall of Fame thing. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs and I don’t feel deserving a lot of times. It would probably be something like they would induct me and I deny it and say I don’t deserve it. Ultimately, if it had to happen Eddie Vedder would be really cool if he could come in and induct me. I mean Billy Corgan did induct Earl Hebner.”
Jeff goes more in depth about why he re-signed with TNA and more in the interview which you can check out in the video clip above and at this link.
