Jeff Hardy is one of the most popular stars in WWE, and over the years he’s faced off against some of the biggest names in the business.
Hardy and Brock Lesnar certainly aren’t strangers, as they clashed when The Beast first arrived in WWE.
Brock Lesnar and Jeff Hardy faced off at the Backlash PPV in 2002, and Hardy recently revealed to Corey Graves on the After The Bell podcast that he pitched a spot for the match that got rejected.
“There was an idea with Brock. I thought it was possible where I would do a Swanton to Paul Heyman, but I would be doing it over Brock like he was down in the corner. I would do the Swanton and he would spear me upside down out of the air because I thought that was possible. Someone like Brock, he’d be able to do that. They said no, you can’t try that. That’s insane. Then later, oh god, me and Kurt Angle tried that, and it didn’t work out at all. It was tough to pull off.”
It sounds like in the end Jeff Hardy found out that the spot was rejected for a good reason.
