Jeff Hardy has been out of action for a few months now due to injury, but he was making headlines over the weekend after he was arrested for public intoxication in Myrtle Beach, SC on Saturday.
TMZ is now reporting that Jeff Hardy was found passed out in a public stairwell and that he “reeked of booze” before police arrested him. Hardy was eventually released on less than $200 bond.
According to police documents, Hardy admitted to drinking vodka before the police found him in the stairwell.
Originally Jeff was facing a misdemeanor for public intoxication, but since he paid the $153 ticket for the charge his case is now considered closed.
There is a chance that Hardy could fight the ticket if he chooses too, but since he’s not facing a conviction it’s unlikely.
Hardy underwent knee surgery a few months ago and at this point there’s no set date for his return.
