Jeff Hardy has been in the professional wrestling business for decades now and it’s probably safe to say that Jeff Hardy has inspired a number of wrestlers who have stepped into the ring as well.
Recently The Charismatic Enigma appeared on Busted Open Radio, and he talked about some of the big names that inspired him during his younger days.
“At first, it was definitely Sting and The Ultimate Warrior, Sting was NWA, Ultimate Warrior was my WWE guy, and the face paint, that’s where it all came from. I never understood why they did it; I would hear them say like ‘It’s war paint’ or something, and I was like, I don’t know why they do it, I just love it, it’s so cool.”
Hardy then went on to name Rey Mysterio, Psicosis and Jushin “Thunder” Liger as influences when he added, “When I saw Rey Mysterio and Psicosis, the original feud in the original ECW, that really changed my perspective on everything as well and from Japan, Jushin Thunder Liger was a huge inspiration.”
