Jeff Hardy has been a WWE Superstar for the last few years now, but back in December the company released him following an incident at a live event.
For months now rumors of Jeff Hardy joining AEW have been making the rounds, and during a recent interview with Jared Myers after his concert Jeff confirmed he is indeed joining AEW.
“I’m going to AEW. I’m so excited, until this morning I didn’t really know. I’m so nervous and excited,” Jeff said.
Jeff Hardy’s non-compete with WWE is set to expire soon and The Hardy Boyz will be reuniting in a few weeks at the Big Time Wrestling event in Webster, MA on March 12th.
Following his release it was reported that WWE made him an offer to return to the company and the offer included a Hall of Fame induction, but Matt Hardy confirmed Jeff turned the offer down. At this point in time it’s not clear when Jeff Hardy might make his AEW debut. Stay tuned for updates.
