Back in 2017 it seemed that Jason Jordan was in line for a big push when he was revealed to be Kurt Angle’s son, but unfortunately for him his momentum was halted due to a career threatening injury, and he hasn’t competed since 2018.
Jason Jordan has been working backstage for some time now, and PWInsider is reporting that he recently took over the role of Lead Producer backstage, a role which formerly belonged to John Laurinaitis.
The new role gives Jason Jordan more responsibility backstage as he will now oversee all other WWE producers during television tapings. The move comes after John Laurinaitis was moved to a position where he now oversees Talent Relations.
John Cone’s exit from Talent Relations has been rescinded, and he is now second in command to Laurinaitis. At least 1 to 2 other people have also been added to that department.
It’s also being reported that Adam Pearce has moved up in the company in recent weeks, but his exact role hasn’t been confirmed just yet.
