James Storm Reveals Why He Decided To Leave NXT

A few years ago James Storm got a lot of people talking when he made his NXT debut, but a few months later he decided to make his return to Impact Wrestling.

Storm recently opened up about why he parted ways with NXT during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, and he noted that he and his wife wanted to have another child, and when Triple H told him NXT would be running 100 to 125 events a year, he knew he couldn’t be away from his family.

“I went down to NXT and talked to [Triple H] and then I went back again and had another match with them and Impact had put an offer out on me and so did NXT. But you know I even actually sat down with Hunter and had the contract with me and was like you know ‘this is what Impact is offering and everything.'”

“And tell you the truth it wasn’t even about the money because I told him the situation that a lot of people don’t know about is that me and my wife was trying to have another kid, and it was just one of those deals where if you’re with WWE you might as well forget it, you’re on the road so much.”

Storm also said that Triple H told him to get into the best shape of his life, and that they might be able to do business in the future.

If you’ve been following James Storm on social media then you already know that he’s taken Triple H’s advice seriously when it comes to getting in shape, so only time will tell what the future holds for the former Impact Wrestling World Champion.
