James Storm accomplished a lot during his run with Impact Wrestling. He’s a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and he also worked as one half of several successful tag teams during his time with the company.
But now James Storm’s Impact Wrestling career is over, and he’s looking ahead to the future as he figures out what’s next.
A few years ago Storm walked away from Impact for a brief period of time, and he ended up in NXT. Fans were thrilled to see him join NXT, but his run with the brand didn’t last long, and he ended up returning to Impact a few months later.
Now that he’s once again a free agent, fans are wondering if he could return to NXT, and during a recent appearance on Cerrito Live, he confirmed that he’s open to the idea.
“People always say, ‘main roster or bust type of guy,’ but if you look at NXT, it’s one of the hottest things going right now no matter what people say. And it’s one of those things where anybody would be proud to be signed to NXT and have a good run there. I mean, it’s plain and simple. They are doing as much as the people on the main roster is on the road and stuff like that right now. So, I mean, I’d definitely go and work with those guys and help them out as best I can.”
However, it doesn’t sound like Storm will be making any big announcements if he does sign a contract, because he wants to keep his next move a surprise.
“There are a lot of companies and the funny thing is that I’m now free to talk and negotiate with other companies and actually go work for other companies. But right now, I think I kind of want to keep it under wraps, make it a surprise where old James Storm pops up.”
Storm has previously said that the door is open for him to return to NXT, so it looks like another NXT run could be a real possibility if he decides to go that route.
