James Ellsworth met the terrible fate of a suspension from SmackDown Live after interfering in not one, but two Money In The Bank ladder matches.
The Chinless Wonder had much more to do with Carmella winning the first ladder match, in all reality his involvement was the reason why they had to have a second match in the first place. But James still had something to do with the second women’s MITB ladder match when he was able to skirt past security and make a grand entrance in the closing moments. However, a steel chair was ultimately what helped Carmella claim her briefcase for a second time.
Daniel Bryan tried to reason with Ellsworth but it didn’t turn out too well for James because he let his mouth go. Instead of being a little bit humble Ellsworth decided to insult Daniel Bryan’s newborn daughter again which resulted in his suspension from WWE for thirty days. It just goes to show you: never poke an angry Papa GOAT.
Since then, Carmella has been sporting t-shirts which say “Free (picture of James Ellsworth’s face)” and her involvement on the show has been rather limited. The Princess Of Staten Island popped up a few times to wave her briefcase in front of Naomi to remind her she’s always around. There was also a women’s tag team match featuring Carmella but it didn’t do much to progress her story.
If you missed seeing James Ellsworth on television then you’re not alone but there might be good news on the horizon for you. Ellsworth recently tweeted out something which would indicate fans could expect to see him appear on WWE television even sooner than later.
With SummerSlam coming up he could be inserted in as a surprise but you never know what they could pull off next week on SmackDown Live. But this certainly gives Naomi another reason to watch her back.
