James Ellsworth has big dreams and often times he’s rather good at making them come true. He wanted to become a WWE Superstar and although many laughed in his chinless face at the idea of Ellsworth being a regular on WWE television, he made it happen.
Now James Ellsworth is looking to break yet another glass ceiling above him when he challenged Becky Lynch to WWE’s first inter-gender match since I can remember. This taboo subject is one WWE hasn’t ventured into much probably because the idea of violence against women is a bad thing.
But Becky Lynch has had enough of James Ellsworth and wants a piece of him in the ring. Therefore an inter-gender match was booked between the two for SmackDown Live this week. It’s actually a great place to have this kind of a match because not only is a United Kingdom fan base more likely to accept the idea of inter-gender wrestling but everyone would love to see Ellsworth take a Becksploder Suplex. The match can also be edited down in case it’s awful which is unlikely because both of these two are great sports entertainers. After all, there’s a reason why they’re employed by WWE in the first place.
James Ellsworth wanted to raise the stakes a little bit when he set down a stipulation for their match on SmackDown Live. If Becky Lynch loses this match against Ellsworth then he will become the leader of Team SmackDown’s women at Survivor Series.
Judging by Becky Lynch’s response to Ellsworth’s challenge it doesn’t sound like she’s too worried about losing to The Chinless Wonder in the slightest. So who knows if this stipulation will be put in stone? After all, WWE seems to be doing plenty of switching up as they approach Survivor Series.
