James Ellsworth got a big win over the WWE World Champion AJ Styles this week on SmackDown Live. Ellsworth pinned the WWE Champion in a non-title match, and the victory has made him a serious contender in WWE.

This week James Ellsworth was a special guest on Talking Smack, and during his appearance General Manager Daniel Bryan made a huge announcement. Bryan announced that next week on SmackDown James Ellsworth will face AJ Styles once again, and this time the WWE World Championship will be on the line.
Ellsworth asked Bryan if he was serious, then thanked him for the opportunity. You can check out the clip below.

Sunday night at No Mercy Curt Hawkins appeared in front of the live crowd to make a special announcement. Hawkins announced that he would be wrestling on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, but the episode came and went, and Hawkins didn’t end up wrestling.
After the show Curt Hawkins was asked why he didn’t wrestle on SmackDown this week and he said that, “Time waits for no man, except Curt Hawkins.”
