This week’s episode of SmackDown Live opened up with Miz TV and during the segment The Miz and John Cena dropped verbal bombs on each other over and over. Eventually one thing led to another and Maryse slapped John Cena. The 16 time WWE Champion told Maryse that she had made a big mistake and then Nikki Bella came out to save the day.
It appears that the rumors are true. Judging from this week’s episode of SmackDown Live it looks like we’ll be seeing John Cena and Nikki Bella team up to face The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33. As fun as that’s going to be, first John and Nikki need to get through a team that’s been working as a well oiled machine over the past few weeks, Carmella and James Ellsworth.
That’s right folks, James Ellsworth has faced the best of the best since he joined WWE and next week he’s going to face another top star when he gets in the ring with John Cena.
After John Cena and Nikki Bella had their run-in with Miz and Maryse, they were interviewed by Renee Young and the interview was quickly interrupted by James Ellsworth and Carmella. Ellsworth told Nikki that everything about her is phony and luckily for Ellsworth, Cena decided not to punch him in the face right then and there.
John Cena instead challenged Carmellsworth to a mixed tag team match and it’s going down on SmackDown next week.
Ellsworth and Carmella may have bitten off more than they can chew and Ellsworth took to Twitter to offer some words of encouragement to Carmella.
However, it doesn’t look like Carmella is scared one bit.
Get ready folks, because this mixed tag match is sure to be a match of the year candidate.
