This week’s episode of NXT aired live from Houston, TX and it was the special Booker T Appreciation Night edition. The show kicked off in a big way as Jacy Jayne defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Sol Ruca and Zaria in a triple threat match as Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid watched from ringside.
At one point during the match Zaria went for a spear on Sol, but Sol dodged it so she hit Jacy instead. Sol then connected with a spear on Zaria and went to the top rope, but Zaria knocked her down to the top turnbuckle. Jacy went to the top and Zaria got underneath and German suplexed them both out of the corner.
Zaria struggled to regain her focus as she grabbed Sol’s head and screamed at her. She then connected with the F5 on Jacy, but Sol broke up the pin. Sol hit Zaria with the X-Factor then clotheslined her over the top rope. She followed up with a Sol Snatcher on Jacy only for Zaria to pull her out of the ring and hit her with the F5 on the floor.
Fatal Influence attacked Zaria on the outside as Jacy pinned Sol Ruca to retain her NXT Women’s Championship.
