WWE has announced that Jacqueline will be inducted into the 2016 Hall of Fame class by The Dudley Boyz. This year seems to be the year of tag team inductors as the APA are inducting The Godfather and The New Day are inducting the Fabulous Freebirds. Other inductors this year include Vader who will induct Stan Hansen and Ric Flair who will induct Sting.
When asked for comment Bubba Ray Dudley had the following to say to WWE.com:
“It’s an honor. They gave her the choice of anybody she wanted to induct her, and she immediately said The Dudley Boyz. Me and D-Von always had a really great relationship [with Jacqueline]. We have a ton of respect for her abilities and toughness in the ring.”
D-Von echoed the sentiment and emphasized that Jacqueline is one of the toughest women to ever step in the ring.
“Jacqueline was one of the toughest women I’ve ever been in the ring with,” he said. “She’s one of the strongest women I’ve ever faced, too. She hit extremely hard.”
He also added that the two were very close.
“Jacqueline and I were like brother and sister. We rode together and even roomed together sometimes. We took care of each other. Whenever we needed someone to talk to, we were there for each other. We were family.”
The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air on the WWE Network on April 2 and The Dudley Boyz will face The Usos during the WrestleMania 32 kickoff show on April 3.
