Kevin Owens is going to be making an open challenge for his NXT Championship during tonight’s SmackDown tapings and some fans have been guessing that Samoa Joe would be the one to answer the call. PWInsider is reporting that as of right now Joe is not booked for tonight’s tapings.
Joe will be finishing up his independent dates in the coming months as he’s signed a full time deal with WWE. He’s currently scheduled to work the June 20th ROH tapings in New York City and Absolute Intense Wrestling in Cleveland announced last night that Joe will be working their show on July 10th.
