On Sunday night Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch successfully defended their titles against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in a Winners Take All match at Extreme Rules, but after they picked up the victory Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Rollins.
Unfortunately for Rollins The Beast proved to be too much for him following the main event, and Lesnar defeated Seth to become the Universal Champion for the third time in his WWE career.
At few years ago Seth Rollins created a major WrestleMania moment when he cashed in the Money in the Bank contract on Brock Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion at WrestleMania 31.
The WWE Stats & Info Twitter account pointed out that Brock and Seth are the only two Money in the Bank winners in history to end each other’s championship reigns.
