Last year when Triple H took over WWE creative fans started seeing returns on a regular basis. Authors of Pain were one of the teams rumored to be making a WWE return, and now it seems that the return is getting closer to becoming a reality.
PWInsider is now reporting that Paul Ellering was spotted in Orlando, Florida earlier this week. Recently it was reported that there’s been talk of Authors of Pain & Paul Ellering making some appearances for NXT soon.
Authors of Pain had a successful run in NXT where they won the NXT Tag Team Championship, and they also went on to win the Raw Tag Team Championship during their time on the main roster.
The former champions were released from WWE in 2020, but it was reported by Fightful last month that Authors of Pain actually signed new contracts with WWE last year, and they were listed on the internal travel list in May of 2023.
