It’s going to be a big week for professional wrestling as NJPW is set to hold Wrestle Kingdom 17 from Tokyo. It was recently reported that Sasha Banks became a free agent on January 1 and the former SmackDown Women’s Champion is expected to make an appearance at Wrestle Kingdom this week.
It was also recently reported that Naomi was heading to Japan ahead of NJPW’s big show. It’s not known at this point in time if Naomi will be appearing at Wrestle Kingdom, but she did confirm that she’s in Japan when she posted a video from Tokyo in her Instagram stories.

New Japan sources confirmed to PWInsider that Naomi, “was coming of her own accord.” So, it’s possible Naomi may just be in Japan to support Sasha Banks ahead of her rumored debut with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Naomi and Sasha Banks both walked out of Monday Night Raw back in May of 2022. At the time they were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and WWE announced that the belts had been vacated shortly after. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
