Sunday night Alexa Bliss challenged Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship at Backlash, but Bliss failed to win the title.
Shortly after the event, WWE posted an announcement saying that Bliss had suffered some sort of shoulder injury during the match, and she was set to be evaluated. The company has yet to follow up on the initial announcement.
However, CageSideSeats notes that Alexa Bliss did wrestle at the first show of WWE’s United Kingdom tour on Wednesday, so it appears that the injury was just part of a storyline, or it wasn’t serious enough for her to be pulled from in-ring competition.
As noted, after WWE posted the announcement regarding the injury to Alexa Bliss, some fans lashed out at Nia Jax on Twitter, and she responded by saying Bliss was dealing with a “fake injury.”
