Big Cass was getting a decent push last summer after he turned on his former partner Enzo Amore, but his push came to a screeching halt when he was injured during a match with Enzo on Raw the night after SummerSlam.
Cass tore an ACL during the match, and even though he tried his best to continue, it quickly became clear that he wasn’t in any shape to compete, so the match was called off. The Raw star later underwent surgery, and WWE reported that he could be out of action for up to 9 months.
He’s been out of action for about 6 months now, but PWInsider is reporting that Big Cass has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, where he’s been working out as of late and walking with no assistance.
At this point in time there’s no word on whether or not Cass has been taking bumps, but once he starts bumping in the ring again it’s only a matter of time before he’s cleared to return to TV.
A few months ago during an appearance on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Cass said that he expects to return sometime shortly after WrestleMania 34.
“I’m in way better spirits than I was back in Barclays Center, that’s for sure. I’m right on schedule, from what the surgeon said. So, it should be shortly after WrestleMania,” Cass said.
