Former WWE United States Champion Kalisto made his return to the ring during the WWE live event in Sioux City, IA on Saturday night. SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch also made her return to the ring over the weekend.
Kalisto last wrestled in a number 1 contender’s match for the Intercontinental Championship on the August 2 episode of SmackDown. Kalisto was helped to the back after the match and he’s been out of action ever since.
Prior to being injured Kalisto had split from his Lucha Dragons partner Sin Cara to pursue a singles career. In the WWE draft the two Superstars went their separate ways as Kalisto was drafted to SmackDown and Sin Cara was drafted to Raw.
