This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from Grand Rapids, MI and Damage CTRL faced off against Pure Fusion Collective. Ahead of the match IYO SKY and Kairi Sane were being interviewed by Cathy Kelley when Dakota Kai made her return. Kai has been out of action since August as she was written off TV due to a torn meniscus.
Dakota Kai made it clear that she’s not happy with Pure Fusion Collective because they took three months off her career. However, she said that Damage CTRL is now here to remind everyone what they’re capable of.
The two trios faced off as Zoey Stark and IYO SKY kicked off the match. Eventually Dakota Kai maanged to tag in, and Shayna Baszler focused on her knee when she locked in a Half Boston Crab. IYO SKY broke the hold.
Near the end of the match Kai tried to hit Baszler with a knee in the corner, but Baszler got out of the way at the last second and Kai hit the turnbuckle. Shayna Baszler locked in the sleeper on Kai as IYO SKY tagged in. Shayna then focused her attention on IYO, and she tried to put IYO SKY in the sleeper hold only for Dakota Kai to break it up.
IYO SKY went to the top rope for the Over The Moonsault then pinned Shayna Baszler to pick up the win. After the match Damage CTRL celebrated in the ring.
