The WWE roster is filled with talent at the moment, but unfortunately there are a number of wrestlers sitting on the sidelines right now. Bobby Roode happens to be one of the wrestlers who is currently out of action and the former NXT Champion confirmed on Instagram that he underwent neck fusion surgery back in December.
Fightful Select reports that even though Bobby Roode has been sidelined for a year, the expectation is that he’ll be out of action for quite some time because he didn’t get his fusion until late 2022.
At this point there doesn’t seem to be a timetable for Bobby Roode’s return. There’s also no word on what WWE could have planned for him when he returns, but when he last appeared on WWE programming he was working in a tag team with Dolph Ziggler.
Bobby Roode was a mainstay on Impact Wrestling programming from 2004 to 2016 and during his time with the company he managed to achieve major success as he won numerous championships including the TNA World Heavyweight Championship which he captured twice. Since joining WWE in 2016, Bobby Roode has gone on to hold the NXT Championship, United States Championship and both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
Stay tuned for more updates on Roode’s return as they become available.
