Injured WWE Star Expected To Return Soon, Details On A Possible Women’s Tournament

Earlier this year Emma suffered an injury when she ruptured a disc at a WWE live event. Emma started her road to recovery after she underwent successful surgery.

Emma was backstage for this week’s episode of Raw in Memphis, and PWInsider is reporting that Emma is set to be on the road with WWE this week, and she should be returning shortly.

Wednesday night TJ Perskin won the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic to become the first ever Cruiserweight Champion. The Cruiserweights are set to debut on Sept. 19, and TJ Perkins will be bringing the belt to Raw.

There was talk a couple of months ago about WWE possibly doing a tournament similar to the CWC possibly focusing on female talent. According to PWInsider the tournament is still being discussed, and there’s talk of possibly doing something during the first quarter of 2017, but nothing is set in stone.

Back in June while speaking during a conference call to promote NXT Takeover: The End, Triple H confirmed that the idea of having an all female tournament has been talked about.
