Professional wrestling certainly isn’t ballet, and unfortunately injuries do happen from time to time.
Ember Moon has been sitting on the sidelines for a while now due to an Achilles injury, and she recently told Comicbook.com that she’s fighting a second surgery.
During an appearance on WWE Backstage back in May Ember Moon declared that she doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to wrestle again, and she noted that she meant what she said.
“It’s just a very, very long process and I would love, love, love to have a date back on the board but it’s up in the air. I’m sitting here and I’m fighting a second surgery. I’m fighting against the second surgery. That’s how bad it is,” she said. When I went on Backstage and I said, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to wrestle again,’ I meant what I said and I, I stand by that.”
Moon noted that she’s going to physical therapy “five, six days a week” and that similar injuries have taken anywhere from 20 to 30 months to recover from.
There’s currently no timeframe for her return.
