Injuries can change the landscape of WWE in an instant, and no one knows this better than Kofi Kingston.
A few weeks ago Mustafa Ali was pulled from in-ring competition due to a concussion, and Kofi ended up taking his spot in the Elimination Chamber.
Kofi has been riding a major wave of momentum recently, and during the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view, Vince McMahon told Kofi that he was adding him to the WWE Title match to make it a triple threat, but it was all a trick.
When Kofi made his way to the ring for the match, it was announced that he was facing The Bar in a handicap match, and he was then defeated.
However, when the WWE Championship match went down it was announced ahead of time that it would be a triple threat, and fans couldn’t help but wonder who would be taking the the third spot.
After Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan made their way to the ring, Mustafa Ali made his entrance.
As the match got started, the fans made it clear that they were hoping to see Kofi as they chanted “we want Kofi.”
Bryan retained the title after Mustafa Ali jumped off the top rope and he hit him with the running knee in mid-air to win the match.
