The Hardys and Impact Wrestling have been going through a heck of a lot of drama recently. Each side has been clamoring to lay claim to the Broken Universe. They have tried just about every trick in the book, and Impact Wrestling’s latest trick might have been the straw that broke the broken camel’s back.
We previously reported Impact Wrestling has started putting trademarks on videos featuring the Broken Hardys. This obviously didn’t sit well over in Camp Hardy.
Needless to say, the Broken Army Matt and Jeff Hardy have garnered are very unhappy about this. This seemingly underhanded attempt from Impact Wrestling to stake their claim on ownership of a gimmick people don’t think they have the right to own is just the latest tactic they’ve tried too. After all, if a cease and desist letter didn’t work why not add a trademark anyway?
Pro wrestling fans are some of the most savvy and resilient fans out there. It might be due to the fact they have to take so much guff for being pro wrestling fans in the first place. Regardless of reason, it looks like some supporters of House Hardy have devised a way to combat Impact Wrestling’s latest move. It should also be noted Matt Hardy didn’t disapprove of this new approach.
While he can’t outright ask fans to report Impact Wrestling’s YouTube channel for copyright infringement, he didn’t tell them not to. The “saying something without saying it” is a form of communication which has been utilized for generations. From politicians to mailmen, everyone knows how to use this trick.
Therefore, if you are displeased with how Impact Wrestling is treating the Broken Hardys, you now have some retaliatory tactics you can utilize. But, remember Matt Hardy didn’t tell you to do it. Then again, he didn’t tell you not to do it either.
Still Real To Us didn’t tell you to report them either. We’re just reporting on it, so don’t shoot the messenger.
