Daniel Bryan has been one of WWE’s top stars for years now, but in recent months he hasn’t been shy about letting the world know that his contract with the company was expiring.
Bryan recently challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship on Friday Night SmackDown, and per the stipulation of the match Bryan was banished from SmackDown after he was defeated by Roman Reigns. Following his defeat it was reported that Daniel Bryan’s contract with WWE had expired.
At this point Bryan’s next move is not clear, but Impact Wrestling teased a possible Daniel Bryan appearance at Slammiversary in July when they posted some familiar “yes” imagery in a video hyping up the event.
It’s worth noting that Impact Wrestling did the same thing last year for Slammiversary when the company teased possible appearances from multiple released WWE stars.
Whether or not Daniel Bryan will end up working with Impact remains to be seen, but he has openly expressed a desire to wrestle for other companies while working for WWE.
