You never know what’s going to happen during a professional wrestling match. The goal is to make the match unpredictable, but sometimes unfortunately things don’t go as planned.
Saturday night during the Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Orlando, Florida, Eddie Edwards faced Sami Callihan in a singles match, and something went wrong during the post-match beatdown.
After the match was over, Callihan placed a chair on Eddie Edwards and proceeded to slam the chair with a baseball bat. However, the bat ricocheted off the chair and hit Edwards in the head.
Edwards then grabbed his head and walked away, and there was said to be a “ton of blood” when he returned to the Impact locker room.
According to PWInsider, Edwards then took a trip to the emergency room, but he appears to be ok.
It definitely doesn’t sound like this was a fun experience for the former Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, but hopefully he’ll be able to bounce back stronger than ever.
