AEW Double or Nothing gave fans plenty to talk about in regards to surprise appearances, and it looks like one of Impact Wrestling’s top stars was almost part of the pay-per-view.
PWInsider is reporting that Impact World Champion Brian Cage was going to compete in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing, and he was backstage at the pay-per-view.
However, when Impact Wrestling officials learned he was there they contacted him to let him know he couldn’t appear on the show due to his Impact deal.
Tommy Dreamer, who works on Impact’s creative team, competed in the match but he is not currently signed to a deal with Impact.
