Impact Wrestling Reportedly Trying To Get Former WWE Champion For TV Tapings This Week

The stars of Impact Wrestling will be getting ready for another set of television tapings this week, and the roster will once again be working under a new regime which now includes Don Callis.

With new regimes and new sets of TV tapings you can usually expect a few new talents to debut with Impact Wrestling, and it looks like the company has their eye on a big name.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez recently answered some fan questions on Wrestling Observer Radio, and one fan mentioned that he had heard reports claiming Impact is trying to get Rey Mysterio for the TV tapings this week. According to Dave, the reports are true, but it’s not a done deal.

“There has been dialog. The last I heard is that he probably wouldn’t be at TV this week, but I’m sure they’re trying. It’s true. It was not a done deal as of a couple days ago, but it was certainly something that they’re working on.”

Rumors of Rey Mysterio’s negotiations with Impact Wrestling have been circulating for quite some time, and right now Mysterio is a free agent so he can work anywhere he wants.
