Next weekend the stars of Impact Wrestling will head to Canada for the company’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound For Glory. As of right now, the event is set to be headlined by Johnny Impact and Eli Drake with the latter defending his Impact Global Championship against the former WWE Superstar.
However, it sounds like Impact could be making a big change to the main event, as PWInsider is reporting that there’s been talk of adding Alberto El Patron to the match.
According to the report, one idea that’s being discussed is possibly adding him to the match as a wrestler, and another idea is to add him to the match as a special guest referee. Bound For Glory will be Alberto El Patron’s first appearance on Impact Wrestling programming in several months, and the company wants to make the most of it.
It’s also being reported that Impact Wrestling has had recent negotiations with Ricochet. Whether or not anything will happen beyond negotiations is unknown at this point in time.
The company is also set to tape several weeks of footage for Impact on the days following the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. Tessa Blanchard will reportedly be working the post-PPV TV tapings.
