As WrestleMania 34 looms even closer it looks like WWE might be making a big move to form one of their planned marquee matches. Ronda Rousey and WWE have flirted with each other for a while now. Rowdy Ronda showed up at WrestleMania 31 and got a little hands-on with the Billion Dollar Princess, Stephanie McMahon and it was quite excellent.
To add even more momentum to this story, Rousey showed up alongside Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke to support their fellow Horsewomen Shayna Baszler as she competed and made it all the way to the finals. Ronda Rousey and her crew even had a nice little standoff with some of WWE’s top female talent outside Full Sail University which was pretty fun to watch as well.
Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there were some possible plans to use Ronda Rousey and her Horsewomen at Survivor Series but that obviously didn’t happen. The next idea for Rousey was a possible match against someone like Charlotte Flair or Stephanie McMahon at Mania. But whatever WWE is planning, it looks like things are going to get set in motion soon.
With WrestleMania on the way, it looks like Ronda Rousey is moving even closer to WWE and it appears to be imminent. USA Today reports two people who are close to Rowdy Ronda Rousey told said she is currently finalizing details of her move to WWE.
With Ronda Rousey’s MMA career in the rearview mirror at this point, the thought is she will start a brand new adventure in WWE very soon. With the Royal Rumble very close, it could be a great chance for a Rousey debut in WWE which could set up something later on.
WWE didn’t respond to USA Today when they were contacted about the situation, but the thought is all roads will lead to WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
The only question remaining is what kind of role Ronda Rousey is going to have when she does make her official WWE debut.
