Shawn Michaels returned to in-ring competition on Friday when he teamed up with Triple H to take on the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel.
Michaels seemed to make it out of the match unscathed, but Triple H tore a pectoral muscle during the tag team contest.
WWE officially confirmed Triple H’s injury after the match, and the former World Heavyweight Champion announced via Twitter that he’s set to undergo surgery on Tuesday morning.
Batista recently teased a match with Triple H during SmackDown 1000, and it was rumored for WrestleMania, but with Triple H set to undergo surgery it looks like the match is now in jeopardy.

At this point it’s not known how long Triple H will be out of the ring.
