Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal Champion, and he recently surpassed CM Punk’s historic 434 day reign as WWE Champion.
Lesnar is now the longest reigning champion of the modern era, but he still only appears on WWE programming sparingly.
Fans haven’t seen Brock Lesnar since the Greatest Royal Rumble, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the working plan is for Brock to defend his title against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, which would be the last date Lesnar is contracted for.
However, it’s been reported that at this point the match is not a done deal, and Vince McMahon has not confirmed Lesnar for SummerSlam or any other dates. The match is expected, but for whatever reason hasn’t officially been given the green light just yet.
Dana White recently told TMZ that Brock Lesnar is very interested in fighting Jon Jones, and that Jones is very interested in fighting Lesnar. White also noted that Brock’s WWE deal is up at the end of the summer.
