Brock Lesnar is still the Universal Champion after defending his title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34, and the Greatest Royal Rumble, and now fans are patiently waiting to see who will be the next WWE Superstar to step up and challenge The Beast.
It’s been rumored that Brock could be defending his title at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view next month, but it doesn’t look like that will be happening.
Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Lesnar is not booked for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, and at this point it’s not known at this point when he will be wrestling again.
Speaking of Universal Title matches, Finn Balor is still waiting for his shot.
Balor won the first ever Universal Championship match at SummerSlam in 2016, but he had to vacate the title the next night on Raw because he injured himself during the match.
Finn has yet to receive a shot at the title since returning, but he did qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match on Monday Night Raw this week.
Following his big victory on Raw, Balor commented on possibly getting a title shot in the future, and he noted that he wants to earn his title match, and he’s going to do it the hard way.
