Injuries are never a good thing and can dampen even the best momentum a superstar can muster. WWE seems to have suffered one injury after another recently but the good news is that those superstars will all eventually come back to the ring (in theory).
One superstar that’s been out of action for way too long is none other than the Bulgarian Brute himself. Rusev went out of action in March when he had to undergo surgery to repair a damaged shoulder. But Pro Wrestling Sheet reports Rusev will be back to crushing soon enough.
He’s had some fun reading Harry Potter and being awesome on Twitter during his time away from the ring, but we can only assume Rusev is ready to get back to business.
Handsome Rusev has been cleared for an in ring return and it couldn’t have come at a better time. With Money In The Bank coming at us fast, we can only imagine what kind of damage Rusev would love to do by interrupting that ladder match if he were given the chance.
WWE might hold his debut until SmackDown Live on the Tuesday following Money In The Bank to give time for a fresh story line. If Jinder Mahal is able to come down with the victory over Randy Orton we could be seeing a great feud between two former tag team partners in Rusev and the Modern Day Maharaja.
Rumors are Rusev is set to tangle with Shane McMahon at Summerslam and that sounds interesting to say the least. After Shane-O’s excellent match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania we’re just going to stop discouraging McMahon from working from now on (or at least until we change our minds).
Hopefully we will see Rusev sooner than later because he is really missed. When Lana came down this week on SmackDown Live she was met with plenty of “we want Rusev” chants. The fans in New Orleans aren’t the only ones who want to see the Bulgarian Brute do some crushing once more either. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for his crushing anthem to break the silence any moment now.
