Huge Name Unavailable As Daniel Bryan’s Replacement Partner For WrestleMania

Shane McMahon is out of action due to an awful health issue. Therefore, Daniel Bryan will likely need a new tag team partner for WrestleMania 34 unless WWE decides to book the match differently.

Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio how someone had mentioned the perfect tag team partner for Daniel Bryan would be Chris Jericho. It would make sense in the storyline, especially considering Y2J’s history with Kevin Owens. After all, this time last year the two former best friends were in a heated post-Festival Of Friendship feud on their way to the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

Unfortunately, that isn’t a possibility because Jericho has so many Fozzy dates scheduled and each concert has sold a lot of tickets already. Chris Jericho’s musical side venture has blossomed into something rather exciting with the release of their latest album and songs like “Judas” and “Painless” really taking off.

“[Jericho] has a concert that night [of WrestleMania],” Dave Meltzer replied before acknowledging that although it’s not likely to happen it would make sense, “he could always cancel it. But you’re right, it does fit.”

The Ayatollah Of Rock n Rolla has promoted his New Hampshire WrestleMania show complete with a viewing party for fans in attendance for months now. He also has a loaded tour schedule lined up with Fozzy and things are really mounting steam for them. After reviewing Fozzy’s tour dates, Meltzer concluded that if Jericho were to jump on the Road To WrestleMania at this point then he’d need to drop at least 3 tour dates from Fozzy’s schedule.

“He’s got too many concerts I think,” Meltzer continued, “he’d have to cancel at least 3 concerts to do that and I don’t know if he’s gonna do that especially since a lot of them have presold tickets really well.”

Since tickets have already been sold and Jericho is never one to disappoint fans it isn’t likely that we’ll be seeing Daniel Bryan pick Jericho as his partner. Stranger things have happened in the past, but I certainly wouldn’t hold my breath for The King Of The World’s reemergence in WWE anytime soon.
